The Planted Promises Podcast

This podcast has been a long time coming. The dream and vision to bring it to life was something God put on my heart several years ago and He has continued to keep a fire kindling in my spirit to start this podcast, but it wasn’t until recently that he gave me a clear vision of exactly how to present the content, so if you are here listening I want you to know how uniquely special and divine that is. I have prayed specifically for listeners just like you! It’s such a blessing to have God’s plans finally come full circle.

The planted promises podcast is an authentic journey that I am walking daily with God. Today’s culture is constantly trying to fill our minds with negativities, manipulation and false truths, confusion, and fear. As children of God, we have the choice to believe the truth found in scripture or the lies of this world. I have found in my own journey that when I have ammunition to fight back against the schemes of the devil then I am much more successful at being an overcomer. When fear or doubt begins to consume my mind and I chose to replace that doubting spirit with a promise of God, then I weaken the power and strong hold the enemy has on my mind. I am allowing God’s power and promise to sprout and grow in my life instead of the lies.

This podcast will be based around the promises of God found in scripture. Luke 8:11 tells us that God’s word are seeds. Throughout the entire Bible, God has spread promise seeds for our personal benefits. Promises about our identity, His faithfulness, our purpose, future generations, and much more.

So, think about this, something in seed form is great and full of amazing potential, but if it never gets planted then all that potential goes to waist! Seeds must be planted in soil, develop strong roots, grow to maturity, and eventually bloom with fruit or a beautiful flower.

Have you ever thought about what happens when you plant a seed? You take this small seed and put it in a hole in ground and then cover it up with dirt. You know and believe in the potential of that seed and are filled with the expectancy that over time that seed will grow into its full potential.  When the seed is underground, it’s in an isolated place but it’s not alone. The seed has you daily checking on it, meeting it’s needs with watering it and moving it in and out of sun, even pruning it as it grows to allow for full maturity.

The same goes for the promise seeds in scripture. God can promise to protect us, promise to love us deeply, promise to be our guiding shepherd, promise to calm our fears, promise to bless us, and much more but if we don’t actually take the promise seeds and plant them in the soil of our hearts then how can we ever expect the promises of God to grow, mature and eventually bloom into abundant blessing in our lives?

Just having a Bible isn’t enough, friend! We must open it, read the promises, believe them for ourself, and plant them on our hearts. When the promises take root in our hearts then we begin to live our lives bases on what God says about us instead of the worldly confusion and manipulated false truths.

When we have a strong root system of scripture then we grow and spiritually mature into an oak of righteousness. Isaiah 61:3 says, this process is a planting of the Lord so that He may be glorified from our life of faith.

Do you have any scriptures or promise seeds planted by faith in your heart that you are believing for the day when they will bloom into abundant blessings in your life? If, not then stick around…this podcast will be episode after episode of promise seeds for you to take hold of and plant your own heart.
